Jeremy Gugino for Boise City Council – District 5

I’m Jeremy Gugino, candidate for Boise City Council, District 5 and someone who has dedicated the last 6 years of his life to volunteer service for political organizations, candidates and causes. I bring a unique blend of experience and values to the table, making me a strong contender for this important role.

Full-Time Dedication: I retired back in 2014, but starting in 2017 I chose to dedicate my time and energy to serving the state and community I love. I created a statewide network of media contacts to promote Democratic legislation at the statehouse, as well as Medicaid Expansion and the Quality Education Initiative for Reclaim Idaho. Along the way, I’ve knocked on around 25,000 doors throughout the Treasure Valley alone for Democratic candidates and signature gathering. I’m blessed to have the time to work for the betterment of our state and city. If I win this race, I will bring that same full-time dedication to the City Council and you.

Independent: Boise has been good to me since I arrived in 2006. I’ve had some good fortune and saved. As a result, I’m taking a principled stand and financing my own campaign. That means no money from special interest groups, corporations, or outside influences. If I prevail, I won’t owe anything to anyone but the people of District 5 and City of Boise. I firmly believe public servants should prioritize the interests of their constituents above all else.

Dedicated to Boise’s Fifth District: My candidacy is not just about pursuing a political career; it’s about serving our community with genuine care and dedication. With no other allegiances or obligations, I’m free to champion the values, concerns, and aspirations of the people of Boise’s District 5 and the city as a whole.

I want my campaign to be about service. That’s why I’ve knocked on thousands of doors all over the district and talked face-to-face with so many of you. I know many of you are frustrated with the idea that politicians take your votes for granted. Not me. I’m working to earn your vote. Not expect it. I’m pursuing a vision of transparent and people-centric leadership that I hope will become the norm in city government. That’s why I’m willing to (literally) walk the walk to earn your trust – until November 7th and beyond.
